MIXED WATER MEDIA & COLLAGE WORKSHOP –
“WHAT IF”
June 18 - 22, 2012
“A painter’s work is their journal.”  -- Mary Alice Braukman

My workshops are adventures in risk-taking and personal growth of visual self expression.  As we explore new ideas and methods in mixed water media, photo transfers and collage, each painter is encouraged to push as far as they dare in order to further define his or her unique, personal direction.  We will experiment with various mediums and gels that offer different levels of transparency and textures and on various surfaces such as canvas and paper.  As you can see from the supply list below, much of these materials will be waiting for you at your worktable.

Our class is experimental and fun, but we are always striving for strong and effective design, whether working realistically or non-representationally.  I have found collage can be very beneficial in developing a strong sense of design and color. There will be individual critiques daily as needed and always a class critique at the end of the week.

For Intermediate - Advanced students
