NEED A BOOST?

Then this workshop is for you!

KenAustin, NWS, is going to show you how to “kick it up a notch”. In this intensive, fun, workshop you’ll learn how to make shapes, color, composition and technique work for you - all with Ken’s broad ranging
humor, art stories and insight into how YOU can improve what YOU love to paint in YOUR style, and make it come alive!

Each day will include a discussion/lecture/demo, painting assignments and critiques in which the students themselves as well as the instructor offer up evaluation of what’s good, and are encouraged
through POSITIVE suggestions for improvement.

All Levels welcome - Beginners must know basics
Studio workshop - Max # of students: 15
Single student $ 1,395*
Two students per room $ 1,095* per student

SUPPLY LIST
PAINTS:
Holbein, Winsor & Newton, or DaVinci. If you have a warm and cool version of the primaries and one of each secondary, you can paint just fine in this class. We will be using fresh pigment.

BRUSHES:
- 3/4” or 1” flat W/C
- 3/8” round W/C
- 1/2” flat W/C
- 1/4” round W/C

PAPER:
- 140 lb. watercolor paper, size and surface you prefer. Arches or Richeson.1 or 2 full sheets will be enough, more if you paint large.
      OR -
- 140 lb. Watercolor pad or block, 11”x15”  (Arches or Richeson)
- A small sheet or two of drafting film or acetate (8x10)

PALETTE: - Any watercolor palette you like

STUFF:
- Box of Kleenex (no other brand)
- One roll of Viva Paper Towels
- Masking tape or artist’s tape
- Scissors and/or sharp knife (Xacto)
- Pencil for layout
- A wide mouth water holder, at least a quart

SOURCE MATERIAL:
You must bring your own source material to work from; sketches, photos, etc.
