Birgit O'Connor
Within the Flower
Watercolor Workshop - Waiting List Only
July 18 - 22, 2011
Studio
Birgit shares her techniques and teaches you how to simplify a flower and turn it into a stunningly beautiful dramatic composition. Begin by learning how to simplify the composition with smooth washes then build color and advance to a more advanced level with more complicated compositions. Birgit accommodates all levels with photos and sketches or use your own reference material and work on something else that you had in mind. Potential compositions are the Matilija Poppy the Datura, star flowers with multiple stamens, Red Tulips, water drops on Flowers, Red Cannas, Rhododendrons and White Tulips as time permits. Some knowledge of watercolor is helpful but this class is open to all skill levels - beginners are welcome and are encouraged not to be afraid.

Birgit O’Connor is a National instructor and contributing editor to Watercolor Artist and Artist’s Magazine and has produced over 13 instructional programs. In March 2008 Birgit released her first book “Watercolor in Motion”and her second book “Watercolor Essentials" in 2009.

Limited to 15 students - NOTE: Waiting list only.
If a student drops out or doesn't send a deposit, the next person on the list will be contacted.
If you have signed up for this workshop please send in your deposit to insure your place in this workshop.
